Jemimah Stratford

Jemimah is the lead planner and investment adviser representative at JOS Planning Firm, specializing in financial services for student-athletes and professional athletes. With experience in planning strategies such as cash flow analysis, risk management, investment strategies, retirement planning, and other financial strategies – Jemimah is deeply committed to addressing the unique financial challenges athletes face as they transition through different stages of their careers.
Jemimah holds a Master’s degree in Personal Financial Planning from Texas Tech University and a certificate in Charitable Financial Planning. During her time in school she volunteered her financial knowledge to local programs within the Lubbock community. After graduating, she worked with a fee-only firm, gaining invaluable experience serving high-net-worth clients. While at the firm, she encountered a setback when she didn’t reach a work goal of passing the CFP exam [a requirement that was agreed upon between the firm and Jemimah]. She was ultimately let go because of that setback – instead of sulking, Jemimah turned it into a moment of growth, and left the firm with a renewed sense of purpose.
Her ultimate mission is to make available financial knowledge and to pass it on to those who are experiencing life emergencies, new found wealth, or any other suspecting or unsuspecting life event happening in their own personal stage of life. She wants everyone to make smart decisions and make their money last beyond their career and into the next generation.
I can’t relate to lazy people. We don’t speak the same language. I don’t understand you. I don’t want to understand you.
